Very nice! Tell us a little about the Mortlach Dreams when you have a moment.
Any cigars portrayed in this post that appear to be Cuban in origin are completely fictional in nature. Any resemblance between these cigars and actual Cuban cigars is unintended and purely coincidental.
I didnīt forget your question, Rob, but I havenīt it opened until now....
But in the meantime I have some new bottles....
- Pic 1: Ardbeg Supernova... thatīs a REAL peat monster with 100 ppm
- Pic 2: Lagavulin 1991 Destillers Edition (it had a good price at the airport duty free shop)

Great pictures Heiko. I hope I can get out there to sample some and see the countryside as the soft breeze whips across....ah nevermind.![]()
I rarely get to these selections of Whiskey at the local ABC store (liquor store regulated by the state of Virginia). Thanks for sharing. Now grab a stick and a drink and give some reviews. WE WANT PICTURES!!!!![]()
I have two bottles of the Lagavulin DE 1991. Outstanding. It's a toss up between the regular 16YO and the 16YO DE.
Have you had the Springbank 15? This is also stellar!
I've had the Ardbeg Uigeadil....which was, IMO, the best cask strength whisky I've had! Insane amounts of flavor!

Nice collection H... I don't know what half that stuff is, but I'd drink it!
Great finds Heiko, the Macallan 1973, Glenfarclas and Springbank would be my first choises, but all of them are great whiskys for sure!
"The most futile and disastrous day seem well spent when it is reviewed through the blue, fragrant smoke of a Havana". (Evelyn Waugh)
That's a very nice haul Heiko, especially the MaCallan 1973!
Of all the things I've lost during my life, I miss my mind the most!
Damn Heiko some very nice stuff there. I too love Single Malts and those sound and look darn good. Enjoy!!
So itīs one of the new bottlings.... which is not bad, but the first batch was even the best (this was also the result of a blind tasting of four different Uigeadail bottlings at a German Whisky board...)
Arild, I havenīt opened the Springbank until now, but the Macallan 1973 I had with a friend (he has the same bottle and he opened it) blew me away... the sherry flavor was overwhelming... the it is for the Glenfarclas which is even a bit better... tastes like gingerbread (Lebkuchen), dried fruits, rum pot .... yummy

Again something new... 18 yo. Laphroaig with Waldhaus Label....

I read over at whiskymag that Laphroaig is not doing a 15 YO anymore. I believe it's going to be replaced by an 18....

Still no Pappy?
170 CHF for the Pappy here..... thatīs really expensive... hard for me to pay this price for a Bourbon if I know I can get an awesome Scotch for it.....
