    Help Please.

for those who purchase boxes that come with those pesky anti-smoking campaign stickers, is there an easier to peel them off?

i hate how dress box labels get peeled off with these dam stickers.

I used my torch lighter to heat the sticker up a little at a time to peel it off without tearing it. However, it still left the glue on the box. The only thing I had was a bottle of alcohol, so used that with a soft cloth and scrubbed the remaining glue off. Was a lot of work but dang it, I got it off!

It is easy to take them off. Use a hairdryer, and peel it slowly while still applying heat. Works on any kind of box for me. I use Goof Off to take the sticky glue off. It wont damage any of the finishes on the boxes, except Cohiba Maduro 5s

Heating and alcohol-based cleaning solutions worked ok so far; you can also drip some of the solution on the glue remainder and then carefully set that liquid on fire, the glue will be a bit more viscous then...

What I have not tried yet but heard lots of times is using oil - oil is said to isolate the sticking stuff. Olive-oil seasoned cigars, anyone?

Most of the times, I just do not remove them...

I just put those USPS Priority Mail stickers over them that you get for free from the post office.

Hairdryer, and give them a good heating, they will peel right off!.. if you develop a feel for it, you can peel it well enough as to where there wont be much adhesive (if any at all)

Those stickers are silly. They have never ever made me think twice about smoking a cigar... Even a picture of SkiBoi's wretched, weathered, guilt ridden, right wing, Steeler fan boy face wouldn't deter me from smoking...

I haven't seen those stickers yet, but it wouldn't bother me either on smoking a stick.

I don't care enough about them to even try to take them off generally. The few times I have, they tended to peel right off of cabs.

Stupid question -- do you take the cigars out of the box during the sticker removal process? (I'm lazy ...)

Most of the time it's in a foreign language, so I pretend it says smoke and enjoy.

And it seems that the stickers are glued with "crazy glue" - very difficult to take off, Great Britain takes the second prize, although most of the stickers are on the bottom of boxes..., so not as obnoxious

    I wait for a sticker stating :

"Smoking provokes cancer, aids and socialism. " That would have some impact

Hairdryer works wonders, but better take the cigars out - and I'm lazy
